Camargue 2013: Day 1 of Camargue Workshop

A fairly bumpy flight from Gatwick to Montpelier … but here safe & sound. Met the delegates on the course – all very lovely people, & Serge & Ros (Create Away) collected us from the airport & drove us to Aigues Mortes the beautiful photogenic medieval walled town that is to be our home till Sunday. My room is through that door….iPhone pics:

Here’s the courtyard garden of our hotel…

We went out for a quick impromptu photography session around the town … here’s a few more iPhone pics to give you a taste of the beautiful & very French town:

The 1st of my presentations seemed to go very well – everyone is excited & inspired & raring to go & get out with their cameras tomorrow. We have a 6am start & are heading 45 min drive up the coast to the beautiful fishing village of Sete with oyster beds to photograph. A landscape photography morning. The weather sounds a bit grim though – torrential rain due – but then again, it should mean that we could be in for some pretty dramatic skies!

We’ve been told there will be fresh oysters & wine for breakfast … I think I’ll stick with the wine…..!

Watch this space … will report back tomorrow!!!
